BSPlayer is a high-quality video player designed for use on Android smartphones and tablet PCs. It offers a range of impressive features that enhance the user experience.

 <li>Allows for background playback in a popup window, making it convenient to multitask while watching videos.</li>
 <li>Utilizes hardware acceleration for video playback, improving speed and reducing battery consumption.</li>
 <li>Enables the selection of multiple audio streams and subtitles.</li>
 <li>Provides playlist support and various playback modes.</li>
 <li>Supports both external and embedded subtitles (ssa/ass, srt, sub. txt).</li>
 <li>Automatically finds subtitles (requires internet connection).</li>
 <li>Allows for playback of media files directly from network shared drives/folders via Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for file conversion or copying to an SD card.</li>
 <li>Plays files directly from uncompressed RAR files.</li>
 <li>Offers a lock screen feature to prevent accidental video changes (useful for child safety).</li>
 <li>Supports USB OTG (On-The-Go) functionality.</li>

This package is specifically designed for ARMv7 with VFP and NEON. For other CPU types, please download the appropriate package as indicated by the application.
The BSPlayer version available is ad-supported, but an ad-free full version with additional functionality can be found on Google Play.

The software is built using FFmpeg code, licensed under LGPLv2.1. The source code can be downloaded from the BSPlayer website.

Please note that hardware acceleration may vary depending on the device's video decoder capability. Some HTC models may experience corrupted playback in portrait mode (a hardware issue), while zooming/stretching might not work for all video types on certain devices (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S2).
